Brie’s Black Bean Burgers
Elda’s Kitchen Green Hatch Chili Cooking & Grilling Sauce
1 to 2 eggs
4 tablespoons Elda’s Kitchen Hatch Chili Cooking & Grilling Sauce
3 to 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 29 ounce can black beans, drained
1/4 cup grated or chopped onion
2 large cloves garlic, mashed
1/4 cup bread crumbs
optional burger fixing suggestions:
Ripe tomato rings
Red onion cut into rings
Iceberg lettuce torn into large pieces
Smash beans with fork until mashed. Add egg, grated onion, garlic, parsley and bread crumbs to beans. Add Elda’s Kitchen Hatch Chili. Mix well. Add another egg or more bread crumbs if mixture is not sticking together.
Heat oil in large skillet on medium high heat. Form bean mixture into patties and place into skillet. Fry for 3 minutes, flip patties, and fry an additional 3 minutes. Remove patties from skillet.
Break apart hamburger buns and place on individual dinner plates. Place a large piece of lettuce on top of the bottom bun. Place a bean patty on top of the lettuce and drizzle Elda’s Kitchen Hatch Chili to bring out the flavor of the bean patty. Then layer your favorite fixings and remainder half of bun. Enjoy!
