Ingredients

  • A large loaf of french bread (you can use sourdough rounds for a different take!)
  • An 8 oz bottle of Elda’s Kitchen Jala-Hot
  • 1 stick of salted butter
  • 1 tablespoon granulated garlic
  • Salt
  • 2 jalapenos, sliced (optional)
  • 2 cups of cheese (we use a mix of pepper jack and mozzarella)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Cut the top of your bread in a criss-cross pattern, being careful not to cut all the way through the bread. Take a piece of aluminum foil large enough to wrap around the loaf and place your cut loaf on top of it.

Next, mix up your butter! One cube of salted butter melted, add two pinches of salt, 1 tablespoon of granulated garlic, and add ⅛ cup of Elda’s Kitchen Jala-Hot sauce. Once mixed, take a brush and brush butter all over the bread, getting into each of the crisscross incisions to butter the inside and the outside thoroughly. If you would like to add extra heat, you can add sliced jalapenos to the inside of the bread. Next, generously stuff your bread with shredded cheese.

Wrap the bread up in the foil, bake in oven for about 20 minutes or until the cheese has melted.

Unwrap your bread carefully, top with green onions, and enjoy!
