cowboy pinwheels

Directions

Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Melt butter on the stovetop using a cast iron skillet or oven safe pan.  Add ground beef and ground pork and stir.  Add thyme, onion, salt, and pepper, nutmeg, heavy cream, parsley and Elda’s Kitchen Kentucky Bourbon Sauce.  Stir until meat is cooked, mixing well.  Remove from stove top and let mixture cool to room temperature.

Make egg wash by beating together the egg and water.

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or spray with non-stick cooking spray.  Roll out pie dough.  Cut an even amount of dough circles using a 3 inch biscuit cutter.  Place 1/2 of the dough circles onto the prepared cookie sheet.  Spoon 2 tablespoons of meat mixture onto the center of the dough.  Brush egg wash around the edges of the dough.  Repeat for all the bottom dough circles.

Place the other dough circles on top of each pie, matching the edges.  Use a fork to crimp edges together.  Brush the top and edges of each pie with egg wash.  Score the pies by using a knife and making an “X” on the top of each pie.

Bake for 20 minutes or until light golden brown.  Remove from oven and serve.  Enjoy!
