THEO’S STEAKHOUSE BURGER

Serve up sizzling, smoky, succulent steakhouse burgers from the comfort of your own home with this recipe for Theo’s Steakhouse burgers. Sweet, heat, and mesquite combine for a unique, irresistible take on a steakhouse classic. This recipe serves 5 people but can be easily halved or doubled.

Ingredients

Optional Toppings

    • Butter lettuce
    • Tomato, sliced
    • Mushrooms, sauteed
    • Onions, sauteed
    • Bleu cheese crumbles
    cowboy pinwheels

    Directions

    For the patty

In a medium-sized bowl, combine your ground beef, salt, pepper, bacon bits, cheddar cheese, and ⅓ bottle of Elda’s Kitchen Theo’s Steakhouse Cooking & Grilling Sauce. Mix to combine using either your hands or a wooden spoon. Once combined, use a burger press or your hands to form patties. If using your hands, form large balls (should cover your palm, a little smaller than a baseball). Press into 1/2″ patties. If time permits, let chill in the refrigerator for 30 minutes (cold patties hold their shape better while grilling).

Grill to your preference. We recommend flipping only once to preserve moisture if possible! Ensure that your burger has cooked to a safe internal temperature and then remove from heat.

    Assembly

When it comes to layering the flavors, we like to layer as follows: start by layering a few leaves of butter lettuce on the bottom bun, add your choice of cheese, then a tomato slice, the patty, sauteed mushrooms, grilled onions, bleu cheese crumbles, drizzle more Theo’s Steakhouse and add your top bun!

Serve with a side of steak fries or BBQ chips and enjoy!
