Growing up, our Nonni, Elda Abronzino, taught us that the heart of a home is its table. Raised in the traditions of her Italian roots, she believed food was meant to be shared, savored, and offered generously to all who walked through her door. With her warm welcome, lively spirit, and unforgettable cooking, she didn’t just feed her family — she gathered a community.

Alongside her husband, Umberto, Elda created a home where heritage lived in every recipe, every story, and every seat at the table. Their kitchen was more than a place to cook; it was a place where traditions were preserved, memories were made, and love was served daily.

My earliest memories are in the kitchen with Nonni, standing on a stool beside the counter as she poured love into every dish she made — from her classic Italian sauce to countless chiffon cakes. In her kitchen, recipes were more than instructions; they were traditions, shared stories, and expressions of care passed from one generation to the next. Those early moments shaped not only how I cook, but how I understand food — as something meant to gather people, nourish families, and carry legacy forward.

That same spirit lives on in Elda’s Kitchen. Our sauces are inspired by heritage, crafted with intention, and made to bring joy to cooks of every level — from seasoned chefs to new home cooks, like my three children.
